The submission period for Memoir (and)’s Issue 10 is now closed. Many thanks to everyone who submitted! We received thousands of submissions and look forward to reading your work.
Though the submission period has closed, our online Submission Manager will remain open to anyone with an existing account. Sign in as usual to update your account information, check the status of your submission, or withdraw your submission if it is no longer available for publication.
WHEN IS OUR NEXT SUBMISSION PERIOD?
Our next submission period—for works eligible for Issue 11 prizes and publication—will open at noon Pacific time, November 1, 2011 and close at noon Pacific time, February 16, 2012. Snail mail submissions must be postmarked no later than February 16, 2012 in order to be considered.

Greetings memoir enthusiasts! Issue 8 is almost here and we want to celebrate! Memoir Journal would like to extend an invitation to our devoted community of readers, writers, and contributors to our Issue 8 Launch Party happening Friday, June 3rd, 2011 at the Kala Art Institute’s main gallery from 6 to 8pm.
With complimentary wine, food, and of course friends, we want to take this time to celebrate with you, what we believe to be our most exciting volume of memoirs yet. Our staff, editor in chief, and board members will be pouring the wine and introducing all who attend to their new favorite literary journal.
Stop by if you have a minute, an hour, or more to check out what Memoir (and) has to offer. The Kala Gallery is located at: 2990 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94710.
