What We Do

Memoir Journal publishes the literary journal Memoir (and), and new periodical series Memoir, A Noun.  We are expanding our outreach efforts through the programmatic development of The (in)Visible Memoir Project which generates the content for publication series. 

The essence of memoir is that everyone has a distinct and compelling story to tell. By publishing a diverse set of the finest and most compelling works, Memoir Journal is helping to build a collective sense of community through the art of storytelling.  Memoir Journal’s mission is to encourage the perception that the landscape of memoir writing is changing—in form and expression—and that our readers and writers are at the leading edge of this exciting genre. We are humbled by the tremendous support our organization has received from the writing and arts community, and grateful to have you, reader, on this wonderful journey.
